This colorful abstract woodland/forest painting is a warm, moody fantasy world of mauves and pinks with a solo bird in residence. This is one of my favorite paintings and one that I would put in my realm of "Intuitive Painting." I start out with a main color (in this case a pinky mauve color), but I don't really know what the composition will be until I put the paintbrush to paper and it starts unfolding! As with some of my other tree paintings, I keep layering colors and let them drip to create the soft shapes and colorful tree trunks. The last touch was the lone bird, looking out over his dreamy domain.
The original is shipped either rolled or flat, depending on whatever will protect the painting better for its size. It is also available matted in a very wide cream colored mat to fit in a 16 x 20 frame, and I have a perfect frame for it if you're interested in the painting framed. It's a thin dark wood frame with a bit of sculpting, it looks very antique and chic. Please contact me for prices, details and photos.
My policy is if you purchase one of my paintings online and it doesn't work, you may return it to me for a full refund, as long as the painting is in the same shape as when it was shipped and you notify me within 14 days. I have never had a painting returned but this policy offers you a chance to try out the painting in your home, you simply pay for return shipping and insurance.
Fne art giclée prints on watercolor paper are available at my Etsy store. They are indistinguishable from the original. Shipping is free for Etsy orders $35 and over.
