Color & Ice

Watercolor and acrylic ink on yupo paper

Contact me for matted or framed price

Color & ice is watercolor and acrylic ink on Yupo paper.  The cool blue and purple tones are mixed with some silver ink right on the paper, to create texture and give it an icy sheen.  Painting on Yupo paper (polypropylene, a type of plastic) is unpredictable and fun, the liquid paint sits on top of the paper instead of sinking into it, like standard watercolor paper.  The paint continues to move until it's dry, which creates an interesting, one-of-a-kind painting.  I honestly had no idea what this painting was going to look like when I started painting it, and that's part of the fun!

I'm selling this painting matted in white, to show off the bright colors and protect the paper (Yupo paper isn't fragile, but if it creases it can't be straightened).  It can also be shipped framed, please contact me for prices, details and a photo.

My policy is if you purchase one of my paintings online and it doesn't work, you may return it to me for a full refund, as long as the painting is in the same shape as when it was shipped and you notify me within 14 days. I have never had a painting returned but this policy offers you a chance to try out the painting in your home, you simply pay for return shipping and insurance.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
